MAW Decals has released markings for the Academy CH-53E. It is a 2 sheet set consisting of sheet 48-MAW009 which are the walkways and are printed by Microscale. The second sheet 48-MAW011 has the markings for the rest of the aircraft and was Printed by Cartograf. It gives you a choice of two airframes which represent HMM-261(Reinforced) Heavy Haulers that deployed with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from November 2005 to April 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as the heavy lift asset of the 22nd MEU's Air Combat Element. Decals appear very accurate according to my research and are printed on very thin carrier film that should disappear once applied "properly" to the model. Having printed my own decals for several of my own projects I can tell you first hand these decals are top notch and should be considered if you decide to build the CH-53.
