New from Dave Roof and Flying Leatherneck decals is set 48003, Lords and Angels for 1/48th scale F-18A's and C's from the "Warlords" and "Death Angels". Two planes from each squadron are included and all were based in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia in 1991. There are color painting and instruction sheets for each jet with all the needed FS numbers called out for in the side views. Stencils are also provided as needed and the ejection sheet stencils are also there.

The decals are excellent and colorful and are printed by Cartograph. Registration is good and there is minimal carrier film.

Also included in the kit is something really neat. Both of the Warlords jets contain and painted false canopy. If you have ever tried to decal this, you know it can be a nuisance. Flying Leathernecks takes a different and better approach. There is a separate instruction sheet and a vinyl mask. You simply spray the area flat flack, apply the three part mask, paint the gray scheme and remove the mask and perfect! They do recommend lessening the tackiness of the vinyl by applying to your hands first. This is a great idea and included in the decals.

There is also nice list of recommended kits and aftermarket supplies (for those committed resin-a-holics like me). This is an excellent package which is complete, colorful and has an nice mask set included with it. Highly recommended for fans of the Hornet! My thanks to Dave Roof and Flying Leatherneck models for the chance to review this item - pick one up today from their web site listed above.
