MSRP: $17.00 Web Site: www.orionscalemodels.com A first release in 1/48th scale for Flying Leathernecks decals and owner Dave Roof is a set for the Academy 1/48th scale CH-53E. The set covers three helicopter squadrons: · HMH-461- "Ironhorse"- three helicopters with build numbers 162526, 163062, and 163063 from MCAS New River NC · HMH-464- "Condors"- three helicopters with build numbers · HMH-261- Cadillac 21 and 22 of the HMH-461 attached to HMH-261, build numbers 161995 and 162521- both have neat nose art There is a excellent standard size decal sheet with the unit markings and nose art backgrounds. There is a separate small decal sheet with three very clearly detailed nose art figures. There is more than just these sheets, not only do you get enough markings to build eight (8) aircraft which also includes door art for five (5) of the eight (8) airframes. But wait it gets better, a bonus CD is included. On the CD you get 212 walk around photos. · 104 photos covering the airframe and cabin · 29 photos covering the cockpit · 32 photos covering three (3) aircrafts from HMH-461 · 24 photos covering three (3) aircrafts from HMH-464 · 23 photos covering two (2) aircrafts from HMH-261 On a separate sheet is an itemized list of things on the CD, a nice list of other available items for the kit such as Eduard PE and Cobra parts and MAW Decals walkways. Also included are paint recommendations and specific instructions for the 2 part door art. This is a GREAT set! I was going to say decal sheet but with the decals, instructions and a reference CD for only $17, it is more than a decal sheet alone. If you have the kit, buy this sheet.
