Jerry Crandall has offered us once again superior quality aftermarket decal sheets. In this instance for the large scale kits of the Hasegawa "Jug" recently released…and as expected, they are perfectly executed. The colors, register, thinness and packaging are superb. (I've had the opportunity to use EagleCals on past models and found them to be "as good as it gets" in terms of application, and these certainly appear to be no exception).

This offering covers markings for 3 aircraft. Two of them are natural metal finish and the third is O.D. over neutral grey.

The first subject is taken from the 362nd Fighter Group, "Chief Seattle flown by Lt. Ray Murphy, a P47-D-28RE. Further, it's a 9th Air Force bird attached to the 379th F.S. Next up is a P-47D-30-RA, "Big Ass Bird II" flown by Major Howard Parks, a 406th F.G. aircraft. Lastly, a machine with unusual markings ("Norma/Little Bunny") in that the aircraft was shared by Lt. Wm Lyke and Lt. Brad Muhl, a 57th F.G. bird. This aircraft was an ex-Brazilian A.F. with somewhat of a patchwork camouflage in O.D. and R.A.F. Green.

As is always the case with EagleCals, included in this dual sheet release (includes national insignia and all necessary personal markings) is an excellent reference page that includes color photos as well as a brief history for each.

Well done, Jerry, and much obliged for the review sample. Check out Eagle Editions website at www.eagle-editions.com for this and other fine products.

Most highly recommended.
