VF-101 “Grim Reapers” Last Tomcat Demo Baby |

MRSP: $10.00 USD VF-Decals produces markings for F-14 Tomcats. This sheet deals with the last Tomcat Demo aircraft. The instructions are printed in color on one side of standard 8.5”x11” paper. This shows a 3 view of the aircraft with all markings indicated. It also includes some painting tips including FS color call outs and a small history about this historic plane that performed the last F-14 Demo. While I didn’t have a kit to test the decals on the decals appear nice and thin with all markings in register. The markings are provided for the aircraft that flew the demo and are in both 72nd and 48th scale. I personally am not a big fan of multiple scales on the same sheet as I normally build in one scale only. But it does let you share the wealth if you have a club member who prefers that other scale. This appears to be the only dual scale sheet in their range with them concentrating on 1/48th scale and just now releasing markings in 72nd scale. “Gunfighter 160” was painted in Lt Gull Grey over Gloss White with bright tail markings making for a very pretty aircraft when done. If you like Tomcats and want a colorful aircraft to remember them by go out and purchase a set. I want to thank VF-Decals for supplying the markings.
