Most people have a favorite plane and for me, one of my most favorites is the F-15.  Single or two seat, I really don’t care - the plane just interests me and always has since the day I saw one face to face at an air show.

Afterburner Decals gives us a beautiful set of markings for four F-15C’s used as demo birds for East Coast air shows/displays.  Decals are included for many stencils, fin flashes and all the necessary badges and nose art.  One thing to note is that one part of the nose art is a dry transfer from Archer and instructions are included for application.

Instructions for all planes are full color and include color notes, modeler’s notes and stencil application instructions.  One interesting note on many of the Eagles is the fact that the demarcation lines between the FS36176 and FS36251 have marking across them that switch color.  Afterburner has caught this and the notes explain how to make it look right.  And here’s an idea that saves money but adds detail.  Notes in the instruction clearly show that by going to afterburners home page and going to the links section of their site, there are photos of the actual planes that can be used for even more detailing.  A great idea!

The decals are beautifully printed by Microscale and have wonderful alignment and color.  Some of the decals have white backgrounds to make sure they stand out properly and since Microscale prints them they will apply very well.  The dry transfers are well printed also and are for the “Let’s Roll” marking set.

In short, I love it.  They are very thoroughly researched and designed and have excellent information for making an accurate representation of the East Coast Demo Eagle Team and I highly recommended the set.  I would like to thank Mike Reeves for allowing IPMS to review these beautiful decals.  You can get Afterburner products at their web site above as well as TwoBobs Decals (http://www.twobobs.net/) or at Hannants in the UK (http://www.hannants.co.uk/).
