This book contains just about every fact a person could possibly want to know about the Chevrolet Corvette, from the very first 300 examples produced in 1953 through the current 2007 models. It has been published every year since 1978 ... roughly the time that the Corvette hobby and Corvette restoration, etc.; really took off.

The information goes down to incredible minutiae. What were the base prices for each successive year's cars, and how much did each of the RPO's (options) cost? How many of each year's cars were built, how many of each year's car were equipped with each of the widely varied RPO's. How many of each color were built? What were the VIN (vehicle identification number) serial ranges? What minor changes made within a production year? When was the name "Sting Ray" changed to the single word "Stingray"? (1969) Of the 22,229 1964 'vettes built, how many were "Riverside Red" …the most popular color? (5,274). The list is virtually endless.

Someone who doesn't understand Corvette Nation would be puzzled as to anyone would WANT to have all this information. It's just that you have to be a Corvette fan to understand!

The book, in a convenient glove-box size, is available from Motorbooks and major automotive book sources. Even if you're not a member of Corvette Nation, trust me, the book will still make a neat and appreciated gift, Christmas or otherwise, for a friend or relative who is enamored with the American sports car.
