This issue covers the Russian Lebed XII, the Hansa-Brandenburg Type CC and a replica Oeffag D.III from Austria. Also, there is a review of Roden's 1/72 Pfalz. The twin-page spread of the Oeffag is particularly interesting, giving the reader a feel of what a 'real' WWI airplane might have looked like in living color set in a natural environment. I found the article and photos of the Hansa-Brandenburt Type CC floatplane, or "naval aeroplanes", to be both interesting and bizarre. The double-X struts between the wings, the high-mounted engine and the little boat-shaped body definitely dates this as an early attempt to make a serviceable float plane. As usual for a main article, it is accompanied by 1/48 and 1/72 scale drawings for the scratch builders out there. The other main article is on the Russian Lebed XII with scale drawings as well.
