This 90-minute DVD is just packed full of detailed aircraft modeling tips and techniques. Like other instructional videos I have had the pleasure of reviewing, I never fail to always pick up one or two super useful techniques that cause me to say "Now why the hell didn’t I think of that!" -- and this disc is no exception.

Probably the most significant revelation for me was the fact that Angus Creighton uses cyanoacrylic cement on all fuselage seams to avoid liquid cements’ shrinking and showing a seam several weeks after completion -- one of the most annoying things to happen, especially with a Natural Metal Finish! For me, that tip alone is worth the cost of the video.

Other subjects covered include restoring lost panel lines from sanding, dropping the leading edge slats on the Tamiya ME-262, molding landing and navigation lights, adding scratch-built landing gear leg details (this is an amazing presentation on the use of dental burrs chucked in a Dremel Tool), attaching antennas and insulators (his preference is long, black human hair!) and many other topics.

Also included on this DVD is a profile of Master Modeler Creighton, a segment on recommended products and a most impressive panorama of Angus’ work.

In short, no matter what your skill level, this disc is well worth viewing by any modeler. Many thanks to Tara Lichterman and Casemate Publishing for the review sample. Visit the Casemate website to see their full selection of DVDs.

Most highly recommended.
