The latest magazine from the UK, Air Modeller is a bi monthly magazine published by AFV Modeller Ltd. This softbound magazine obviously focuses on aviation subjects.

Issue 16 has a variety of interesting subjects something for everyone. The first article is on a FW-190A-8. A section on an air show includes some high quality photos of helicopters and airplanes. A brightly colored Chinese F-811 is the next feature. A beautiful super detailed 1/48th Hasegawa Hurricane is next and to accompany this article is a really nice walk around of a couple of Hurricanes. This will prove very useful to modelers. A nice article on ground work is the next up which includes photos of the ground work. A new release section is included. The final section features the cover subject an exquisite S.E.5A.

Each article is reproduced on high quality paper. All the photos are clear and highlight every aspect of the model. The best part are the construction tips from each article, especially the weathering on the FW-190 and the wood effects on the S.E. 5A. Every article offers something to even the most experienced modeler. The airshow and Hurricane walk around make for an interesting reference source. This magazine is what most strive to become. Beautiful models, helpful tips, and great reference photos all contained in one high quality magazine.

Highly recommended.
