The kit comes like Geometrics’ entire bust line with a metal rod and a circular base along with a one-piece resin head.  Casting was superb with just a few mold lines to scrape and sand off and then a good healthy wash with lots of hot water and dish soap.  After dry, the bust was primed with Krylon sandable lacquer and let sit for two days.  A few trips around the Internet for some pictures showed the mutant with a blue cast with light gray color and very pronounced reddish veins.  The eyes were black.  I painted the entire bust dark sea blue and then over-coated with lighter and lighter versions of military grays ending with light gray (doh!).  The views needed tackled and I tried Andrea colors.  Masking was impractical so I needed a red with good opacity and that brushed well.  The Andrea colors in the small eyedropper style bottles were fantastic.  It took a couple sessions and the veins were done.  A couple oil washes to darken the front followed by a darker gray dry brush for the lower half of the thorax and light brown for the “mouth area” and we were almost there.  I painted the eyes black and dabbled weather black on in random patterns to get some variety.  The whole kit was flat coated with Krylon matt (outside because it is smelly) and then the eyes were gloss coated with Testors gloss coat.
