MSRP $9.50 Available from www.TwoBobs.net The F/A-18E Hornet is the US Navys newest Fighter/Strike Aircraft/Recce aircraft/OIF jet. There are a few kits of this jet available in 1/72 scale from Revell Germany, Italeri and Hasegawa. This sheet can be used on any of those kits. The sheet covers three jets from VFA-113 “Screamin’ Eagles” aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. All three of the jets sport markings honoring the heroes of the New York Fire Department Ladder Company 54. The markings were applied during their cruise supporting Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. The names applied to the three aircraft were members of Fire Station 54 who lost their lives on 9/11. This sheet is quite special considering its markings. I cannot think of any better way to honor the heroes that sacrificed their lives to help those in need. As usual you get enough markings to do all three jets completely in 1/72 scale. The decals are in register and the colors are quite dense. You also get photos of the actual aircraft to aid in painting and markings placement. Bob should be proud of this sheet!! I can honestly say I am no Hornet expert. I was USAF J . In fact I had no idea that the Super Bug was even in combat prior to getting this sheet!! My very special thanks to Bob Sanchez from Two Bobs decals for the review sample. As usual it is quite impressive and will provide the modeler with three excellent options for his/her Super Bug. |
