Twobobs have been synonymous with modern aircraft decals.  They always have the latest and greatest markings for modern aircraft and helicopters.  Their ability to release new high quality decals at a phenomenal rate has set the industry standard.  Now they have taken the next step and released a book that shows where they get some of their decals from.

The softbound book has 159 pages of full color photographs.  The quality of the close to 1,000 photos is exceptional.  Printed on high quality paper this book covers almost every type of aircraft that flew in support of OEF/OIF.  The major fighters, such as the F-14, F-15, F-16, and the F-18 are covered in great detail.  In addition to the fighters there are plenty of photos of bombers, attack aircraft (A-10 & AV-8B), support aircraft and helicopters.  Not only are US aircraft covered but coalition forces are covered as well.

The photos of the aircraft are nice, but what really sets this book apart is the individual aircraft markings, such as nose art and mission markings.  The variety and the amount of beautiful nose art is phenomenal.  The nose art ranges from patriotic to nudes to cartoon character.  The color of the markings is enough inspiration for any modeler.  Another thing you will notice is the pride and patriotism that the soldier, sailors, airman and marines have in their aircraft, units, jobs, and country.

If I had to find one thing wrong with this book it would be that there is only one photo of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior.  As an ex-Warrior driver it was just something I noticed, but every other aircraft is covered very well.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the aviation arsenal of democracy.  The amount of nose art alone is worth the price of admission.  Along with the inclusion of the mission markings and the quality of the photographs this book is a wonderful record of modern aircraft at war.

The book and all the decals that were inspired by it can be had by visiting the Twobobs website: http://www.twobobs.net/ or through your local hobby shop.
