This Booklet is Number One in a Series of selected Luftwaffe Aircraft pictures from Jerry Crandall. The Acknowledgments reads like a Who's Who of W.W.II Luftwaffe experts and the finished product reflects that. All of the sources of the photo's enclosed are very well known and respected. Right from the first page I knew this was going to be a MUST GET! I've always been interested in Luftwaffe Camo Schemes and Pilots, but what impressed me about this book was the fact that the 69 Black and White pictures (three in color) have never been seen before, until now. I relished the fact that two pictures per page are featured in the 36 pages with text. The pictures are big enough to observe the markings and details without a magnifying glass and very clear. BRAVO!! Issue One reminds me of the BROKEN EAGLES Books that were published years back. (a must get for every Luftwaffe fanatic in it's own right) It deals with photo's of crashed and destroyed a/c located in and around Germany. Tom Tullis also features 8 stunning color side views of 109's and FW's that are included in the pictures. The old story goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.........there's a couple hundred thousand here. Luftwaffe Aircraft and Diorama builders will have a field day with this. I've already picked out a half dozen projects alone out of this exciting new series. There are outstanding new pictures of 262's, Do335's, a Ju188, Stuka, Ta154 and throw in a couple of shots of Bf110's and a Mistal (not to mention your 109's and Fw190's). Open panels and engine details are visible to aid any super detailer among us. The pages are printed on a very high quality paper and it is the perfect size (8.5X11) for careful storage in your reference library. If this is the First Volume, I can't wait to see the next few.
