MSRP: $19.95 USD If you are like me and just love P-38’s you’ll love this P-38 Gallery of pictures on a CD. IPMS member # 2, Richard Marmo must have used every book there ever was to compile this comprehensive CD. Most of the photos are, as expected, in glorious black and white. Some are in color but suffer from age. The photos are scanned from various books and every variant of the P-38 is shown. This CD even includes a bunch of pictures of the XP-58 Chain Lightning. Some photos are duplicated but that doesn’t detract from the overall selection of them. Since the photos are scanned, they cannot be blown up without showing the pixels. Some photos are not too sharp but for the most part they are very good. Not only is every variant shown but also many, many detail shots of everything from wheel wells to cockpits. Richard included photos of maintenance being done on various aircraft showing the equipment used. This will come in very handy for those wishing to make a P-38 repair diorama. In this CD are over 350 photos including many of nose art, documents, aviation art by Tony Weddel and cutaway drawings. I found this to be a terrific reference for collectors and modelers alike. I was burning some more P-38 discs and discovered (Aarrgh!)
22 broken internal links. Most involve navigation from the Press
Release page back to the rest of the disc. In other words, you have
to shut the disc down and restart. HOWEVER, those links have now
been FIXED and anyone who orders from your review will have no problems.
Wanted to let you know so you'd know what happened and what was done to
correct it. Also, be assured that anyone who has already purchased a
disc and contacts me about the problem will receive a replacement copy at
