PATTON’S EYES IN THE SKY
USAAF COMBAT RECONNAISSANCE MISSIONS
NORTH-WEST EUROPE 1944-1945

By Tom Ivie

Having read Mr. Ivies book – Aerial Reconnaissance the 10th Photo Recon Group in World War II – some 20 years ago, his new release is a nice upgrade of new information, photos, personal stories and 30 great color profiles of the aircraft they flew.

This 9” x 12” book is a look into the missions and personal experiences of these brave men who flew in pairs and alone, high and very low over the most hostile skies of Europe.

General Patton praised the group and its individual squadrons and pilots as did other leaders of the allied great crusade. You can’t defeat what you can’t find, and find them is what this group did time and time again.

It is history and action at its very best. I would highly recommend this book to all of you interested in World War II aviation history. The book is priced at $ 44.95 and can be purchased from Specialty Press at www.specialtypress.com or 800-895-4585.
