Classic Publications has again succeeded in turning out a wonderful series of books to quench the thirst of the Luftwaffe modeler.  This new set is devoted to the German bombers of W.W.II with particular attention to the He111's, Ju88's and Do217's.  Much like it's companion series on Luftwaffe fighters (JAGDWAFFE) the color plates are really something to see and I trust you will, soon.  Decal companies have been watching very closely.

This volume covers the early war and follows through with the Blitz and Barbarossa.  Included are the amazing, and thankfully standard, stories by the pilots and crew including the order of battle for the campaigns and a listing of bomber crew that were awarded the Knights Cross.

There are some great shots of Fw200 Condors that many modelers will want to use for the 1/48 Trumpeter kit. The He111 is well covered and this volume includes many pictures and plates featuring the night schemes.  As you may know, the 1/48 He111 has hit the streets again and if this volume does not beg you to buy one, I don't know what else will.  Attention was also given to the Ju88 Units which include several color pictures.

Classic Publications is setting the new standard for research for the modeler. No less than thirteen color plates highlight this awesome book that will be a mainstay in your reference library.  Whether you are an avid historian or devote modeler, this entire format will not disappoint you.

The price of $29.99 is worth every penny.  I would like to thank Classic Publications for the review sample and John Noack for sending it my way.
