Old Business

  • Continuing discussion about getting Marie Van Schoonhoven set up to do her job. The board is still working out the logistics of moving operations to Marie in Florida. We continue to sort through the IPMS/USA items in storage at MJ Kinney s house and the storage space we rent in Canton. We decided to keep Journals from the last two years and throw away/recycle/give away the rest. It was felt that since we have copies of the Journals for archival purposes, it was an unnecessary expense to continue to pay to store back issues older than two years.

New Business

  • President Ron Bell noted that he has one candidate for the Treasurer job but will wait until all ads have been published before moving forward.
  • Marie Van...

  • It will be announced in the next Journal that we are looking for candidates to fill the 2nd VP position and the new Recruitment/Retention Secretary position. It has already been posted on the Forum. We will wait about a month after the announcement is out and then select from the candidates we have at that time.

  • The E-board unanimously approved the following motions:
    • Beginning with the 2020 convention, the final convention report must be filed with the 2nd VP fifteen (15) days before the end of the calendar year in which the convention was held. Failure to do so will result in the convention host chapter(s) losing their share of any convention profits. (as motioned by Treas. Oberholtzer and seconded by Sec. Tennant)

  • Voting is now under way. Ballots are due by Sept. 1. We need to have an ample supply of ballots and a ballot box at Omaha. I will also make some signs telling people they can vote at the convention to post around the venue. We will also bring a supply to the banquet and have the ballot box available there as well.
  • There is no candidate for 2nd VP, so the new E-board will take over down one man. Please put on your thinking caps for possible candidates for appointment as this will be one of the first orders of business in Nov. when the new board takes office.
  • We need to put together our annual business meeting presentation, Last year...

  • Distributed about ninety 50 year membership pins via USPS. From the feedback I've received, they were very much appreciated. We will start distributing the 25 year pins at the convention in Omaha to reduce postage as there are around 700 of them. We may look into alternate shipping methods as well.
