Advertising Director / Operations Manager
Description of Duties

  1. Develop and maintain advertising rate card for Journal Advertising in association with Historian/Publications Director and Journal Staff
  2. Be contact point for advertisers and inquires regarding advertising.
  3. Respond to all inquires regarding advertising in the IPMS/USA Journal
  4. Create and manage Insertion Orders for advertisers.
  5. Receive and forward to art department all ad art files on strict deadlines.
  6. Assure that ad art files are properly formatted and of suitable production quality to meet the production needs of the Journal.
  7. Manage relationships with all advertisers (paid and ad swaps).
  8. Provide ad space budget and art status reports to Art Director.
  9. Recruit new advertisers and sell additional advertising space.
  10. Oversee and maintain all Postal Permits
  11. Complete and submit annual Statement of Ownership and Circulation Reports
  12. Coordinate schedules with art director/printer/mailing house to assure adherence to the Journal Mailing Schedule
  13. Coordinate with IPMS Office Manager the timely transmission of current mailing list and postage payments for each issue so as to maintain timely mailing.
  14. Prepare and mail all advertising invoices.
  15. Receive payment for advertising invoices and forward checks and ad revenue reports to IPMS/USA Treasurer
  16. Oversee the Journal’s independent Reviewer Corps. 
  17. Recruit and train reviewers. 
  18. Coordinate suggested review subjects
  19. Proof and edit reviews prior to forwarding them to Managing Editor
  20. Other duties as required
